Trippeo Upgrades Mobile T&E Tool
Innovators are catching on to the concept that if a corporate traveler is always on the go, so should the expense management tools he or she uses. A slew of new, mobile-friendly travel and expense management apps have emerged on the market in the last year, and one company has just reemerged on the scene with improved T&E services.
In an announcement on its company blog, Trippeo unleashed the latest version of its corporate travel app, an update that now includes the Expense Reports feature that lets business travelers generate and share expense reports.
“Currently, there is no holistic solution for the business traveler,” CEO Adarsh Pallian told Techvibes in a recent interview. “Trippeo wants to build a product around dynamic lives, not just use cases.”
The latest version of Trippeo, Trippeo 2.3.1, not only has a redesigned user interface, it now allows users to generate an expense report straight from the transactions logged and recorded on the platform, enabling travelers to submit expense reports to travel managers and receive a reimbursement straight into employee bank accounts within 24 hours once approved.
The app can synchronize with payment cards and mobile calendars to make the expense report generation process even faster.
Trippeo allows travelers to manage all of their expenses on the app, categorize them and select individual transactions to appear on an expense report. Employees can modify the expense report or cancel a submission, allowing for an easy way to avoid error.
The upgrade is part of Trippeo’s efforts to create a holistic, end-to-end travel and expense management mobile solution, reports said, and the firm is planning to launch new services in the future as part of that goal.
“Here at Trippeo, we are going to keep on working on strengthening our expense solution,” the company said. “We’ve tied a small expense-management circle together, but we know there is room to expand. And that’s what we plan to do.”
